Guernika (1937)
Documentary, War, Short • 0h 23m
The film contains documentary images of the Basque Country, the ruins of Gernika after the bombing and the departure of the Basque children and their exile in France, Great Britain and Belgium. This documentary therefore brings us closer to the Basque nationalist vision of the war, aimed mainly at foreign propaganda. Guernika starts from the vision of a peaceful, hard-working and Catholic Basque people who breaks away from the outbreak of war, to conclude with a call for solidarity from international democracy.
