He Knew Women (1930)
Passed 22 Apr 1930 • Comedy, Romance • 1h 10m
Geoffrey Clarke Lowell Sherman), a lazy writer, becomes captivated by the large fortune of widow Mrs. Alice Frayne (Alice Joyce), and her money attracts him even more than his romance with Monica Gray (Frances Dade). The latter nearly ruins his chances with the widow by announcing that he has compromised her. This causes Austin Lowe (Davis Manners), a struggling young chemist who is in love with Monica, to take a poorly-aimed potshot at Geoffrey. This, in turn, causes Monica to change her attitude toward her formerly despised suitor. In the end money (and love) triumph as Geoffrey and Alice are united as are Austin and Monica.
