On Strike (1920)

Cartoon characters Mutt and Jeff are watching a newsreel when they see a piece about their creator, Bud Fisher. Annoyed at how well Fisher is living by making money off of them, they call him up and demand better pay. When Fisher refuses to give them a raise, they decide to go on strike and produce their own cartoons about themselves. It turns out that it's not quite as easy as they thought it was.
